Traveller Advice: The council will be carrying out essential roadworks on North Parade from 1st August. North Parade is the main access into central Bath from the A4. If you are planning to drive into the centre of Bath it will not be able to access us or the car parks via North Parade after 1st August for at least eight weeks. We recommend that you come to Bath by train or bus, if at all possible. If not, please follow the diversion signs, but be aware that this will make the centre of Bath very busy, especially during peak traffic times (Monday to Friday, 8-10am and 3-6pm). If you would like further advice, please do call us and we will be happy to discuss your travel options with you. You can follow an alternative route advised by the council by going to this web address – https://bathnes.roadworks.org/
Whether you’re here to visit Bath as a tourist, relax at the Thermae Bath Spa, take in a little culture at the Theatre Royal, or shout yourself hoarse in support of your team at the Bath Rugby ground, Three Abbey Green is ideally situated for everything Bath has to offer.
A stone’s throw from the Abbey and Roman Baths, everything you could wish to see is on your doorstep, from the famous Sally Lunn’s tea shop to the iconic Pulteney Bridge and Weir. A leisurely walk to the Royal Crescent and King’s Circus takes in an eclectic mix of boutique, independent and big-name shops, street performers and stunning Georgian architecture along the way. And when you get there, don’t forget to visit the Assembly Rooms – ladies, no visit to our World Heritage city would be complete without trying on a corset and crinoline at the Fashion Museum.
In the evening, Bath’s many tempting restaurants are a short stroll from the front door. With so many to choose from you are sure to find something delicious to whet your appetite.
A note on finding us: Driving in Bath is not straightforward. We are located in the centre of a busy city where there are lots of one way streets and other traffic control measures. Sat Nav technology does not function well in central Bath. For this reason we recommend that you arrive by train or bus. Both the bus and train stations are a five minutes’ walk away. If it is essential that you travel by car, please contact us so we may help you to decide the most practical solution to finding us and parking your car. Please also download the PDF below which contains information about driving to Bath and parking. If you have any worries or queries, either before or during your journey, please contact us and we will help you in any way we can.
