Last time a silver – this time, who knows?
We only have to wait until November 15th to find out which award we have won – gold, silver or bronze.
We had our first cautious dabble two years ago when we entered the Access and Inclusivity category of the Tourism Awards for Bristol, Bath and Somerset. We were completely amazed when we were presented with the Silver Award, beating the National Trust at Brean Down, with @Bristol winning the gold.
This year we entered three different categories, having realised it was a really good way to challenge the service we offer to our guests and find out where we may be able to do better. The feedback we received from the judges has helped to shape the future direction of our family business.
We are also delighted to be the only guest house in Bath to be short-listed for two awards.
In the awards for Bed and Breakfast of the Year and the Access and Inclusivity categories, we know that we will receive a gold, silver or bronze. We also entered the Age Friendly Tourism Business of the Year, for which the panel of judges was sufficiently impressed by the evidence to award us HIGHLY COMMENDED status, alongside the Roman Baths and Pump Rooms – we’ll take that!
The Awards’ Ceremony takes place in Bath on November 15th and will be hosted by Laura Rawlings from BBC Radio Bristol and Phil de Glanville, former Bath Rugby captain. More news soon…
